Job Description

The Accounting Intern for Alpine, and ITW Company, will be responsible for Accounting tasks and projects as assigned. This internship is designed to give a student hands-on exposure to a wide variety of analytical and specialized Accounting responsibilities including: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting.

Core Responsibilities
  • Understand and support Month-end Close, process journal entries, and assist key account reconciliation.
  • Assist business performance analysis and variance explanation.
  • Understand key accounting cycles (i.e., fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cost accounting) and facilitate process improvement documentation and execution.
  • Support of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed.
Expected Learnings
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Interrelations of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement
  • Fixed Asset Accounting
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
Job Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance with an anticipated graduation year of 2023
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Coursework in Introduction to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Introduction to Business Administration or related
  • Ability to analyze, summarize and interpret financial data
