RESPONSIBILITES

Complete timely and accurate collection of data across multiple databases including intake and maintenance.

Provide comprehensive, one-stop assistance for clients from intake to housing stability for consistency and continuity of care.

Attend and provide support for resident meetings, community handbooks, newsletters, focus groups, and other inclusive dialogues with program residents.

Provide quality of services for housing participants in the areas of navigation services and housing counseling services, guidance in budgeting, debt reduction, credit re-building and education.

Provide supportive services and coordination with other agencies/referrals for outside support.
-
Track communication and follow-up for participant requests, navigation services, ancillary services, and coordination with other internal and external referrals as needed.

Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the industry.

Ensure confidentiality of client information as required by agency and/or state and federal regulations.
-
Build relationships with landlords, property managers, and other professionals to develop referral sources.
-
Remain familiar and current with HUD requirements and counseling program regulations. Communicate changes in requirements or regulations to HSCP and HUD network and ensure compliance.

Basic understanding of the challenges and barriers faced when experiencing poverty, mental and/or physical disabilities and/or other barriers, regarding how trauma can impact the housing process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Bilingual (Spanish) may qualify for an increased salary offer.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Understanding of basic family budgeting and fair market value.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment will be a combination of a temperature-controlled office environment and in the field meeting with participants in the Colorado weather.
ALTERNATIVE WORK PLAN
This position is not eligible for an “Alternative Work Plan”. All duties must be performed in the office or in the community with participants. Special projects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
TRAVEL
Occasional travel will include Meetings in the community. Pick up/delivery of supplies or items needed for participants. Other travel as needed. Will drive company vehicle for these purposes. If a personal vehicle is used for work travel, this driver will be reimbursed at the federal rate for mileage.
