Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a full-time experienced Patient Financial Counselor in our radiation department in Thornton.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Greet patients, collect co-pays, deductible, and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
-Schedule new patients in computer system in accordance with physician and/or
office guidelines.
-Obtain and enter all authorization and correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and
computer.
-Check in patients for imaging and radiation appointments.
--Scan and attach all records into patient's electronic medical record.
-Handle new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number and
schedules appointment.
-Handle incoming phone calls from patients needing to schedule or reschedule appointments.
-Arrange for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
-Demonstrate an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
-Follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.
-Cover for other front office functions as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical
office setting. Superior customer service skills are required for this position.
