Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant with lab experience in Denver.
This is a PRN position but does offer the opportunity to get your foot in the door with a great organization.
This position requires an experienced Medical Assistant and previous lab experience is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will:
Performs phlebotomy and sample collection procedures
Provide point of care INR testing
Records results on worksheets and computer system.
Process specimens for send-out testing.
Responsible for laboratory inventory and ordering supplies
Participate in quality improvement program
Opportunity for growth in laboratory services
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants is required
At least three/five years of previous experience as a Medical Assistant, lab experience strongly preferred
Should also be an effective communicator, with strong multi-tasking skills and have the ability to work independently
Strong phlebotomy experience required
All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and background check prior to hire.
