Job Description
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced RN at our Skyridge location.

Essential Duties:

Coordination of patient care.
Answer and return patient phone calls.
Call in prescriptions and manage refill requests.  
Call patients with lab results and scan as needed.
Symptom management and drug assistance. 
Assist with home care and other outside services.
Complete disability and FMLA paperwork.
Liaison between physician and outside resources, i.e. Pathology, Radiology, etc
Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material. 
 
Requirements:       Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. Minimum of
three years nursing experience, preferably in an oncology environment. Current or pending oncology certification preferred. Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current CPR certification required. Must maintain continuing education requirements.
 
Physical Demands:      The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
