Job Description
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Flow Cytometry Specialist in Denver.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
Perform routine processing of bone marrow and peripheral blood, for flow cytometric acquisition and analysis.  Prepare and aliquot solutions and reagents for laboratory procedures as directed. Prepare and analyze subsequent specimens for cell changes and report findings to pathologist.
Classify cells and record classification.
Monitor problem cases to ensure a timely resolution.  Assist in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems concerning individual cases, tests performed and equipment malfunctions.
Perform trouble shooting, maintenance, and operation of flow cytometry analyzer, quality control analysis and interpretation.
Monitor inventory and other duties as assigned within flow cytometry laboratory.
 
REQUIREMENTS:    Bachelors degree in medical technology required AMT or ASCP required.  Must have at least three years’ experience in analysis with a color flow cytometry analyzer, with an emphasis in lymphocyte subset exposure.  Work experience in a general clinical laboratory environment with an emphasis in general hematology required.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
