Job Description
 
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a full-time experienced Receptionist in Aurora.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Greets patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Obtains demographic and insurance information.  Obtains copy of patients insurance cards and current driver’s license for file.  Updates demographic and insurance information as needed in system.
  • Registers all new patients into the system.  Prepares and organizes new patient charts.  Notifies radiation staff of patient arrivals.
  • Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
  • Assist in other areas as requested by manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous medical office experience is preferred
  • All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and background check prior to hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier and other such office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.
