Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant in Pueblo.
The successful candidate will:
Escort patient to and from exam room, physician office, and treatment room
Record patient data prior to each physician visit
Obtain all necessary patient records as required by the physician and verify presence of consent prior to treatment or procedures
Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms
Assist physician with exams and procedures as requested
Obtain blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed
Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections
Process instruments and equipment as needed
Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician
Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physician
Obtain new patient records and previous test results, x-rays, scans, etc
All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and background check prior to hire.
