Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado’s largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a MLT in Pueblo.
The successful candidate will:
Assist with performing phlebotomy and collecting appropriate specimens
Follow lab procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient results
Send specimen to reference laboratories for any testing not performed in house
Perform specimen analysis of all Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology specimens
Maintain and operate all lab equipment
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly instrument maintenance as indicated
Adhere to laboratory quality control policies and document all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and instrument maintenance
Prepare peripheral blood smear and perform complete WBC differential
Perform microscopic examination of urinary sediment
Record results on appropriate worksheet and computer system and perform file maintenance
Adhere to all OSHA compliance laws and Universal Precautions procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in medical technology and minimum of three years experience as a MLT.
