Job Description
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner in Colorado Springs.
The successful candidate will:
Collaborate with other health care providers in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for individual patients.
Provide coordinated, continuous health care: makes daily patient rounds; assists physicians with hospital patients, acts as a liaison between patient/family and inpatient nursing staff; coordinates and monitors care provided by inpatient nurses and house staff to ensure continuity of health care.
Perform examinations on hospitalized patients with assessment of normal and abnormal findings; obtains records and maintains a problem oriented health history and progress notes; writes discharge summaries; records and reviews all patient cases with supervising physician.
Perform clinical and diagnostic procedures.
Provide diagnostic and pharmacologic management of the disease process and treatment side effects
This position will work at Penrose Hospital on the 11th floor oncology unit.
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Current state licensure.
Oncology experience preferred
ICU or in-patient experience with high acuity patients strongly preferred
All candidates are required to pass a drug screening and background check prior to hire.
