First Transit is seeking full time Dispatchers for our Downtown Denver, Colorado call center location that serves as the dispatch center for the RTD access-A-ride program! In this position, you will dispatch vehicles and drivers using a state of the art computerized dispatch system to assure that all passenger pickups and returns are made in a timely, safe and efficient manner. We hire individuals who make customer service and passenger safety their top priorities. First Transit is looking for you if you have the drive, confidence, and determination to assist our passengers with their transportation needs!

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• We operate a 24-hr dispatch operation. Flexible shifts are available!
• Oversight of service delivery that is assigned to various access-A-ride service providers.
• Track trip performance measures, route start time, service delivery and performance, safety incidents, etc.
• Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
• Manages emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
• Manage all aspects of daily service delivery. Respond to service issues as they occur.

Dispatcher Experience & Skills:

• Previous Call Center and Dispatch experience preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of customer service work
• Ability to work independently
• Good communications skills, both oral and written. Strong phone skills and interpersonal skills
• Solve customer service issues in real time involving calls from customers and operators on the road
• Position requires extended sitting and computer use in an office environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 19 years old with a High School Diploma or GED
• Exceptional customer service skills with professional, customer-focused telephone etiquette
• Able to multitask

Benefits

We offer $19.00per hour/ $19.50 for bilingual candidates, benefits including physical and mental health initiatives, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid holiday/vacation. Full-Time and Part-Time schedules are available
