Summary: This position includes providing education, instructional design, training and multimedia support and curriculum revision and maintenance for training programs at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, in support of the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Decompose complex subjects into blocks of instruction, creates instruction plan and notes, and develops and integrates graphics/illustrations into instruction materials.
  • Develop training courses, prepares appropriate training materials, and conducts research for the necessary materials to develop manuals.
  • Provide guidance for instructor materials, such as, training aids, course materials, and background materials.
  • Provide guidance for student materials, such as, course manuals, workbooks, handouts, and certifications.
  • Provides training by way of formal classroom courses, workshops, training via computer-based training. Also provides training for direct staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Instructional Systems Design, or other related discipline.
  • 4-7 years of experience supporting Training and Doctrine Command education, curriculum, and training development programs - US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) experience preferred.
  • Army Training Development Capability certificate and experience working within the Training Development Capability Database.
  • Operational experience serving in the U.S. Army Medical Command to include warfighter deployment experience preferred.
