DaVita Integrated Kidney Care is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations. This SVP will act as the Chief Operating Officer for all IKC Operations across our portfolio which includes over $6B cost under management, 50,000 End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) and 30,000 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients in addition to working with more than 1,000 aligned nephrologists. We are looking for an exceptional operations leader with deep value based care experience, a strong history of committed work in the healthcare industry and ongoing desire to transform patient care across the kidney disease and treatment continuum. The SVP/COO of Integrated Kidney Care will engage at all levels, including working closely with the DaVita executive leadership team (DKC COO, CFO, CEO, Board of Directors).

DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC) is the country's largest kidney care provider accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). We provide comprehensive care and complex chronic condition management to patients nationwide, whether they are in the early stages of kidney disease, transitioning to dialysis, seeking a kidney transplant or receiving life-sustaining dialysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the SVP will support executive leadership team in achieving strategic goals with overall accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day management and operations

  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to deliver clinical innovations and excellence to our delivery of patient care

  • Oversee all aspects of company operations to ensure all team members are working towards clinical deliverables and timelines with ultimate accountability for the team's performance in achieving our performance goals

  • Accountable for nephrology partnerships and engagement in the DaVita IKC model of care

  • Lead the continued innovation and development of our CKD and ESKD models of care

  • Interact regularly with key payors to manage projects and ensure customer satisfaction, while also onboarding new customers and engaging them in new product and service offerings

  • Oversee analytics and actuary team to support contracting, artificial intelligence, and value-based operations

  • Continually monitor, evaluate and optimize financial performance

  • Understand organizational health, articulate an organizational vision, and effectively diagnose and recommend solutions to complex issues that may span multiple teams (including decisions around resource prioritization, top-level goal alignment, and balancing impact with team longevity)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare value-based care provider and/or health plan risk operations and/or at-risk payer services organizations

  • Proven capability to be results-oriented and lead operations at scale

  • Proven experience recruiting, developing and leading high-performing teams in a complex matrixed organization structure

  • Track record of successful fiscal and operating leadership; demonstrated financial expertise

  • Proven ability to identify and define business problems and issues and develop strategic and financial frameworks

  • Powerful communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to influence and impact results at all levels internally and externally

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 40% of time; relocation to Denver is strongly preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid knowledge base of current healthcare payment and delivery structures encompassing Medicare Advantage and Medicare; Value-based care, managed care, and risk-based contracting

  • Experience innovating and scaling value-based model of care

  • Proven success engaging with health systems, physician practices, and payors preferred

Salary/ Wage Range

$175,000.00-$285,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
