Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Coder / Developer to support USSPACECOM Joint Cyber Center (JCC) operations. Location: Colorado Spring, CO. In this role, you will engage in efforts to develop, implement, and maintain advanced technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cyber space intelligence, DCO and MRT-C planning, OCO planning, and policy/strategic planning.

Tasks include:

    Collaborate with the government and military leadership, relevant LOE stakeholders, and external partners to understand operational requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies.
  • Ensure seamless interoperability and integration of technology solutions across all Lines of Operation.
  • Conduct regular assessments of existing and possible new technology infrastructure and recommend enhancements.
  • Propose and implement improvements to streamline processes, increase automation, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions to address evolving cyber threats and challenges.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the JCC, J68 and J8, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and experiment with new technologies.
  • Actively participate in research and development activities to drive technological advancements.
  • Provide training to JCC, J68 and J8 personnel on the use and maintenance of new technologies.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to ensure the broader team is equipped to leverage advanced technological capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation and best practice guides related to implemented technologies.
  • Maintain documentation of all integrated technologies, configurations, and procedures. Regularly review and update documentation to reflect changes in technology and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider HS+16 years of experience.
  • Must be proficient in:

    • full stack development

    • demonstrating mastery in both front-end (JavaScript, React.js, TailwindCSS)

    • demonstrating mastery in back-end (Node.js, Python, JavaScript, GraphQL, API) technologies, and

    • cloud architect services (AWS EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, MongoDB)

  • Experience or knowledge with the following:
    • able to establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
    • able to design interfaces and bring system elements together, so they work as a whole
    • experience conducting performance assessments using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
  • Strong communication skills to translate high level technical strategies into innovative solutions
  • On-site, primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred, but not required:

  • Formal training in IT, Computer Science, or other related field of study, such as undergrad or masters degree
  • IAT Level II, such as Cloud+

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
