About the Position:

Cologix is looking for an Operational Staff Accountant to join our Accounting organization. The position will report to the Sr. Operational Accounting Manager and will be focused on accounts payable, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations and various general ledger activities including, but not limited to, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals.

What you do daily:

  • Posting of vendor bills and review of employee expense reports
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors, responding timely to inquiries
  • Purchase order coding and reconciliation
  • Sales and use tax filing and reconciliation
  • Prepares general ledger transactions timely and accurately
  • Organizes and maintains general ledger transaction files
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Processing employee pay
  • Preparing payroll information for taxation
  • Answering employee questions about pay
  • Performs research, resolves issues, initiates corrective actions and adjustments
  • Assists management in developing and implementing policies, procedures and process improvements
  • Learns established processes and seeks continual process improvement while handling daily work

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • BS degree in Accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience including basic accounting, accounts payable, payroll and auditing skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and quality control concepts
  • Strong Excel skills and aptitude for technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with other departments, vendors and customers
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing priorities while meeting established deadlines
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Adaptability, personal accountability, high degree of ownership and a strong drive to succeed
  • Responsive and proactive with positive customer service skills
  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn and a want to understand responsibilities and improve them
  • Experience with Netsuite and Ceridian Dayforce is a plus (not required).

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range
$65,000-$65,000 USD
