About the role

As a Director/Pricing and Revenue Operations, you will develop, communicate, and implement pricing strategies and policies that optimize the long-term profitability of FIS.

About the Team

This role sits within our Platform and Enterprise Products organization for FIS
(specifically within Pricing & Revenue Operations group), responsible for further building out our enterprise product strategy. By creating an open, next-generation fintech platform, FIS expands its solution offerings that can be embedded in any application that supports our clients' financial services processes - from payments to banking to wealth to capital markets.

The pricing team operates across a multi-functional set of stakeholders and is central to their success. Whether supporting our product and strategy teams to determine optimal pricing strategies for Go-To-Market success, working closely with sales to price and win a deal, or helping finance deliver on their revenue and margin objectives, the pricing team is at the heart of our commercial and financial objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Develops, leads, and manage a team of high performing pricing analysts.

  • Engages senior management and business owners on pricing strategy development.

  • Balances competing revenue, sales, and profit goals to forge strategies that serve long-term interests.

  • Updates pricing strategies for evolving competitive capabilities and pricing intelligence, business objectives, cost trends, value proposition and client and consultant perspectives.

  • Champions company initiatives to define, communicate and capture FIS value in the sales process.

  • Provides thought leadership on creative packaging and effective price negotiation tactics for Sales.

  • Coordinates efforts to collect and leverage competitive intelligence.

  • Defines, recommends, and implements pricing and revenue growth projects that increase FIS's value in the market.

  • Leverages cross-company network to collect information necessary for pricing and influences cross-functional teams and other diverse groups to create and implement successful strategies.

  • Recommends new expenditures for third party and other pricing projects that drive significant returns.


What you will need

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting, finance or business administration or a similar level of education, training, or work experience is needed. A master's degree is not necessary but desirable.

  • Requires strong management skills.

  • Requires strong organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Strong understanding of FIS business strategy and how products or initiatives contributes to FIS goals.

  • A sound knowledge of pricing strategy with an emphasis on value-based concepts including economic value analysis, role of costs in pricing decisions, segmented pricing approaches, life cycle pricing concepts, best practice negotiation strategies, pricing psychology, price sensitivity factors and measurement techniques, financial analysis including breakeven sales calculations and margin analysis and the role of competition.

  • Requires general business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence.

  • Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner including presentations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: establishing personal and professional relationships among diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Skill in productivity, planning, and workload management.

  • Ability to design, document and implement process improvements.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $167,780.00 - $281,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
