SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for providing analytical support, standard and ad hoc analysis, financial modeling, reporting and insights in support of the Sales Operation Performance Management Team. This role will support Sales, managing and leveraging large data sets with strong attention to detail. This position will work cross-functionally across Sales, Revenue Management and Finance, with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective and analytical driven decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the Sales Performance Management Senior Manager, the primary responsibility for this position is to provide insights and analytics to support the execution of GSC, Market and Region Key Initiatives. This position will provide timely communication and collaboration with Sales leaders.

  • Analyze performance and productivity data to support performance management efforts

  • Extract large data sets to forecast monthly/qtrly/annual performance

  • Understand key metrics to include outside data, year over year performance and run rates in relation to overall company goals

  • Assist in the development and reporting of key performance metrics to help increase sales productivity

  • Liaison between the Sales Team and Sales Performance Management Team for all compensation related inquiries

  • Develops strong working relationships cross-functionally

  • Learns quickly when facing new challenges; thrives on a fast-paced environment

  • Adapts well to change and views new experiences as growth opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field or 6-7 years of experience managing and analyzing large data sets

  • 4+ years in a sales support professional role, 4+ years in a professional analytical role, or a combination of relevant education and experience

  • Foodservice distribution or similar industry experience preferred

  • Experience in sales performance management, including analyzing incentive and sales metrics, identifying trends, and providing insights to potentially identify gaps within incentive plans preferred

  • Track record of improving sales performance through data-driven insights and strategies. This could involve experience in sales process optimization, sales incentive design, or territory planning, showcasing a proactive approach to driving revenue growth.

  • Experience in collaborating with multiple departments and can effectively work across functions bring added value to the team.

  • Experience in strategic planning, compensation analysis, and sales forecasting. Demonstrates an ability to think strategically and contribute to the long-term growth and success of the team.

Professional Skills:

  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports and deriving insights from data

  • Advance knowledge in Excel, modeling, and data manipulation

  • Flexible; readily accepts change, open to new ideas

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives at the same time

  • Proactive, self-directed, ability to structure a weekly schedule to be successful

  • Ability to handle matters of a confidential nature
