Cherokee Nation Federal Consulting (CNFC) is seeking a motivated Consultant Business Strategy and Operations to join our team in the Washington, DC area. This client-facing role provides a unique opportunity to support significant transformation initiatives within a federal agency. You will assist in developing strategic recommendations, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting project management activities. You will be working with a federal agency undergoing enterprise-wide change, offering a unique chance to engage with senior executives and influence significant transformation initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Consultant Business Strategy and Operations: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Consultant Business Strategy and Operations Responsibilities Include:

Conduct research, analyze data, and support the development of strategic recommendations to improve business processes and governance practices:

  • Perform comprehensive research and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to assess current processes and identify inefficiencies.
  • Support the development of strategic recommendations to enhance governance practices and streamline operations.

Assist in designing and implementing tailored solutions for clients:

  • Collaborate across the project team to design customized solutions that address client needs.
  • Support the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Provide input and feedback to refine and optimize solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Contribute to stakeholder engagement and support project management activities across various transformation and change management initiatives:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to drive consensus and advance project objectives.

Support the creation of deliverables such as reports, presentations, process flows, project plans, operational guides, best practices, change management plans, and communications plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations:

  • Assist in developing high-quality deliverables, including detailed reports, visual presentations, and comprehensive process documentation.
  • Support the creation of process flows, project plans, and operational guides to aid project implementation.
  • Contribute to the design of change management and communications plans to facilitate smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in.

Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to innovative solutions for complex business challenges faced by clients:

  • Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business problems.
  • Support the development of innovative solutions that drive organizational improvements and achieve client objectives.
  • Continuously refine and adapt strategies based on evolving client needs and industry trends.

Stay informed about the latest developments in strategy, management, policy, and relevant industries, and share insights with clients and colleagues:

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in strategy and management.
  • Share relevant insights and knowledge with clients and internal teams to inform decision-making and project strategies.

Participate in client meetings, facilitating discussions and presenting findings as needed:

  • Engage in client meetings to present research findings, strategic recommendations, and project updates.
  • Facilitate discussions to address client questions and concerns, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned:

  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing project requirements and client needs.

Consultant Business Strategy and Operations Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a federal setting.
  • Prior experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in business process improvement, governance work, policy analysis, and change management.
  • Prior experience in a PMO or project management role.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, trends, and information to derive insights and support strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas and recommendations clearly.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
