Maxar is looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Westminster, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for taking ideas and vision and translating that into revenue through the implementation of Rapid Access Program, a cloud-based virtual ground station offering. Rapid Access Program enables customers to access the world's most advanced electro optical and synthetic aperture radar satellites to provide time dominant and mission critical imagery insights in order to improve a customer's common operating picture of conditions on the ground.

Your goals will be to drive profitable business growth through the management of the Rapid Access Program product offering that serves defense and intelligence customers by focusing on strategy, sales enablement, development, deployment, and support for Maxar's low-latency capabilities. You will work with customers and sales to gather requirements and create a product roadmap that aligns to our customer and business needs, work closely with engineering teams to further understanding of the virtual ground station use cases/applications, and be comfortable incorporating third-party provider technology to ensure maximum product and service value. This position requires an in-depth understanding of market requirements from buyers and users of hardware/software-based solutions for imagery surveillance recognizance and GEOINT in forward deployed environments supporting the Department of Defense or International Defense and Intelligence customers. The position also involves close interaction with key customers, sales, marketing, development, operations, partners and suppliers. As the internal and external evangelist for the Rapid Access Program product offering, the position requires big-picture vision coupled with the organizational skills and the internal drive to make the product vision a reality.

Responsibilities:

* Work with customers, sales, and business development to research, collect, and synthesize customer requirements for Rapid Access Program product roadmap aligned with corporate strategy

* Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth

* Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

* Conduct competitive benchmarking to establish pricing and go-to-market strategies

* Work with product marketing to create campaign plans and support corporate marketing and corporate communications in broader outreach

* Support sales and business development in the establishment of product positioning, industry presentations, and customer visits

* Work with finance to establish product centric KPIs, reporting and product performance visibility

* Promote and defend the mission, values, philosophy and culture of the organization

* Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

* Must be a United Stated citizen eligible for clearance at the Secret level

* Meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • 7 years or more of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in remote sensing, GIS, business, engineering or another relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree in remote sensing, GIS, business, engineering or another relevant field and 1 years of relevant experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of product management practices

* Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

* Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

* Must possess strong analytical capabilities; be comfortable in engaging business and technology decision makers across the company

* Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, marketing, operations, and engineering

* Ability to be flexible and work independently and in teams

* Highly motivated and be able to articulate, with strong communication and presentation skills

* Be an organized, self-starter with the ability to work across departments to develop and launch new product processes

* Candidates with a strong understanding of remote sensing, GIS, imagery applications, satellite ground systems, electro optical satellites, synthetic aperture radar satellites, etc. will be considered based on prior experience

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$104,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually.


Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
