Your Job

We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our team in the Transportation Management Software (TMS) industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software architecture, exceptional problem-solving skills, and knowledge in designing robust and scalable solutions for transportation and logistics processes. As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and shaping the technical landscape of our TMS software solutions.

The Solution Architect will work in a team environment that consists of: software implementation, platform and product development, integrations, technical and enterprise architecture, project management, and internal/external customers. What You Will Do

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical solution strategies for TMS software, considering business requirements, scalability, performance, and industry trends. Create architecture roadmaps and align them with the organizational goals.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance the performance, scalability, and functionality of TMS solutions. Make informed recommendations on technology adoption and integration.
  • System Architecture: Design end-to-end architecture for TMS solutions, including integration points, data flows, component interactions, and security measures. Ensure solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Scalability and Performance: Architect solutions that can seamlessly scale to accommodate increasing user loads and data volumes in the transportation and logistics domain. Optimize performance for efficient user experiences.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment with architectural vision and goals
  • Solution Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture designs, system specifications, and integration guidelines. Ensure documentation is up to date accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience designing technical solutions on multiple cloud-based architecture projects by working with stakeholders, designing, and delivering to a product team
  • Experience conducting evaluations of systems architecture
  • Experience communicating and translating technical terms and concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience working in transportation management and/or logistics operations
  • Experience with security protocols, compliance requirements, and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience technical architecting or designing a TMS
  • Experience developing software
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
